Christmas in Michigan

So this is what happens when I think I can walk on ice without adjusting. I was going down our front steps and slipped landed on my butt and Felix's head went over my shoulder and hit the step behind me. Luckily he was fine nothing 10 minutes of crying and a goose egg won't fix.

This is one of the few times Sophie didn't spook when Felix was unleashed nearby. Of course he wasn't really crawling at this point so it was a little safer for her. Now he can go over to her and grab her feet and she still doesn't really appreciate it.

This is how I used to do my makeup with Felix so he wouldn't cry. It didn't last but for as long as it did it was awesome he used to squeal at himself in the mirror. So cute.

When I pull Felix into bed with me more times than not he would somehow manage to take my entire space and pillow. For such a little guy he knows how to take up space. I'm guessing its just my smell that put him to sleep. Which I guess I can't complain about. At least my smell wasn't so bad it was keeping him awake :)

Thank you Aunt Laura and Uncle Robbie for the toys. Honestly they are the best. He especially loves the little piano that plays songs. You guys are awesome for sharing with us!

Off To Colorado We Go

We visited Steve's Family in Colorado in October. This is the part where I find out just how out of shape I am as they try to kill me. Not really but seriously we went rock climbing and hiking and I'm pretty sure I almost died. But I do have my excuse that I just had a baby. Yay finally a legitimate excuse. So other than that it was a fun trip and Felix got to meet a bunch of his cousins there, including Denise and Philip's new baby boy Brigham. And its always fun staying with Ashley and David. Its always a party at their house.

Felix was actually pretty awesome on the flight out there he slept most of it. It was a bit rougher on the way back but he handled it like a champ for how little sleep he got on this trip.

I walked in on Mary swinging Felix in this blanket while he howled. it was pretty funny. I guess he didn't appreciate how soothing it was.

We also visited the Molly Brown house in Denver. We didn't go in but we went in the shop and tried on some weird masks so it was a big thumbs up. Steve's parents also showed their old house there. It seems like we always run into places they used to live. It was interesting to see for sure.
